Free CEU 8/13: How Do I Know If a Client Needs Dynamic Seating?

Join OT Michelle Lange for "How do I Know if a Client Needs Dynamic Seating?" for wheelchair users with pending IACET CEUs provided by NRRTS as an authorized provider.

Date/Time

LIVE August 13, 4pm MT / 6pm EST

Description

Clinical indicators are actually the clinical goals of Dynamic Seating, such as protecting the client from injury and the equipment from damage. In this course, we will take a look from the other side – what can you currently observe that indicates this person could benefit from Dynamic Seating? Examples may include a client who is moving seating components out of alignment or even damaging equipment. A client who is ‘standing up’ in the seating system. A client who is extending and, as a result, moving out of alignment with the seating system. Join us as we take a deep dive into this topic!

Learning Objectives

The participant will be able to:

  1. Define Dynamic Seating.
  2. List 3 observed client actions that may indicate the need for Dynamic Seating.
  3. List 3 observed consequences of client actions that may indicate the need for Dynamic Seating.
