You are probably aware that the Dynamic Rocker Back interface (DRBi) can be mounted to many manual and power wheelchairs to diffuse client forces – protecting the client and the equipment, as well as providing much needed movement. This option is also available on most Raz Design shower chairs!

Extension doesn’t stop in the shower!

Many clients who need dynamic seating on their manual or power wheelchair frame may also benefit from this technology on their shower chair:

• To prevent breakage of the shower chair frame
• To prevent client injury which could result from excessive and unrelieved forces
• To maintain the client’s posture on the shower chair seating surface during showering – limiting forward sliding
• To reduce force against the head support, secondary to reducing forces at the hip

If you are working with a client using a Raz shower chair who would also benefit from dynamic seating, simply request this custom modification from Raz during the ordering process. The DRBi is compatible with all Raz shower chairs with the exception of Züm, and EZPZ. The DRBi cannot be used in conjunction with a reclining back as both components open the seat to back angle and occupy the same space.

After showering, please rinse the DRBi mechanism to remove any soap or hair product residue. Let air dry in the unlatched position.
