Free CEU: Dynamic Seating: Moving past perceived barriers to provision of needed interventions

Join OT Michelle Lange for the on demand, webinar, Dynamic Seating: Moving past perceived barriers to provision of needed interventions, with IACET CEUs provided by NRRTS as an authorized provider.

Date/Time

Attend on demand or Preregister for LIVE Seminar, 6/5 4pm MT

Description

You can’t get that funded. If the client can move, they will just extend more.

They will move out of position.

There isn’t any evidence that this intervention is beneficial.

Are these facts or just perceived barriers? Dynamic seating is movement which occurs within the seat and/or wheelchair frame in response to force from the client. Dynamic components absorb force which, in turn, assists the client back to a starting position. This course will explore both perceived barriers and the reality of this needed intervention.

Learning Objectives

The participant will be able to:

  • Define Dynamic Seating.
  • List 3 perceived barriers to Dynamic Seating provision.
  • Describe at least 1 solution for each barrier to Dynamic Seating provision.
