Providing movement within a wheelchair seating system has many clinical benefits, including diffusing client forces; preventing shear, loss of position, client injury, and equipment breakage; and providing movement for increased alertness and decreased agitation. This class will illustrate these applications through a series of case studies and will be interactive. Bring your own challenging cases and be ready for discussion!

1. Identify 3 factors which lead to loss of position within a wheelchair seating system.
