Seating Dynamics Education

Michelle L. Lange, OTR/L, ABDA, ATP/SMS

Seating Dynamics just returned from the Pacific Northwest! Ted Ruckstuhl and Michelle Lange traveled to the area to provide two Dynamic Seating CEU courses and some local inservices. It was wonderful to meet with everyone, enjoy the beautiful area and, yes, get rained on! We also drank a lot of coffee, yum!

In Portland, we had the privilege to present on Dynamic Seating to a fantastic group of clinicians. Everyone was excited to return to their work settings and identify clients who may benefit from this technology. We had some very productive discussions about clinical indicators and how this is supported through research.

We also provided inservices about Seating Dynamics products at the Providence Seating Clinic and Legacy Health in Portland before driving to Seattle. It was exciting to hear how clinicians and suppliers are using this technology with a variety of clients.

In scenic Seattle, we once again presented a CEU course on Dynamic Seating to yet another great group of clinicians. We had a very interactive group and discussed funding and durability of dynamic components. Participants enjoyed hopping in the wheelchair and trying out dynamic seating for themselves.

We love to “take the show on the road!” If you are interested in Dynamic Seating CEU education or product inservices, please contact us! We may be in your area soon!

Please consider Little Rock, AR or a closer location, i.e.: Dallas, TX, Jackson, MS., Memphis, TN. This course is greatly needed in our area as we have such a high percentage of rural areas. People needing seating interventions do not get proper evaluations and fitting, as evidenced by resultant postures/problems. I have attended Michele Lang’s Advanced Seating at Medtrade 2 years ago and see the HUGE need for a course here. Thank you for all you do.

Great to know your work. I have been providing mobility and seating solutions in India at Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, Delhi for last 11 years.

How about we conduct such workshops in India?

Thanks so much for your comment! We do not have plans to be in India right now, but please visit our Resources page. We have many resources that may be helpful to you, particularly on-demand webinars you can watch. I hope it is helpful for your program and please let us know if you have any specific questions.
